Custom Wood Furnishings

Handmade joinery & tailored installations

About the studio — craft, materials, and process

Our studio was founded by furniture makers and interior specialists who value the dialogue between material and function. We begin projects with an in-depth consultation to understand spatial constraints, user habits, and stylistic intentions. Schematic sketches and 3D visuals help clients see how a piece will sit in the room; we proceed to full-scale prototypes for complex joinery or ergonomically sensitive elements. Material recommendations are grounded in longevity: hardwood species are selected for their mechanical properties and finish response, while engineered alternatives are used when dimensional stability or cost management is paramount. The build phase combines hand-fitting with precision machining—CNC for repetitive accuracy, hand-planed surfaces for tactile quality—and culminates in surface finishing choices that range from natural oils and waxes to hard-wearing catalyzed lacquers depending on the intended use. On-site installation is treated as the final craft stage: careful leveling, concealed fixings, and seamless transitions to adjacent finishes result in a coherent, high-quality outcome.

Sustainability is integrated into our procurement and waste practices. We prefer reclaimed or FSC-certified timbers where feasible, optimize panel nesting to reduce waste, and source locally milled material to reduce transport impact. Finishes are chosen with indoor air quality in mind and we offer low-VOC options for clients prioritizing healthy interiors. For commercial clients, we document maintenance recommendations and provide warranty information to protect both owner investment and occupant safety. Our approach is collaborative: design, material choice, and construction timelines are transparent so clients remain informed and confident throughout the project lifecycle.
